THE STORY BEHIND THE SONG
I can do it
A song for times when you don't have the strength to run — but that doesn't mean you have to stop walking.

ZAČÁTEK
Proč vznikla
"I can do it" was created out of those times when you don't feel like a hero at all.
Sometimes I just don't have the strength. Something goes wrong, something overwhelms me, a carousel of thoughts starts spinning in my head, and I feel like this time I've really had enough.
But I didn't want to write a song about always having to be strong and handling everything with a smile.
Quite the opposite.
I wanted to write something about how I can have a bad day, I can fall, I can slow down for a while — and it still doesn't mean I've lost.
I can have a bad day and it still doesn't mean I've lost.
OSOBNÍ ROVINA
Příběh skladby
There are days when I wake up in the morning and everything feels sluggish.
Things I usually handle without thinking suddenly feel heavier. Something goes wrong, you start to doubt yourself, and one bad thing easily attracts ten more.
And it's precisely in such moments that it's easiest to start telling yourself that you're not good enough.
But I've experienced several times that a feeling that seems like the end of the world at one moment will eventually pass.
I'm not saying nothing can knock me down. I'm saying the exact opposite: sometimes it does knock me down. But I don't have to stay there.
That's the essence of this whole song for me. Not some perfect invincibility. Rather, a simple decision that if I can't run today, I'll slow down. If I can't continue at the same pace, I'll stop. And when I can, I'll take another step.
I can do it — even though falling hurts.
SLOVA
Jak vznikal text
I wanted the text to be as simple as possible. No grand life truths, no complex metaphors. Rather, sentences that one can truly say to oneself when feeling down.
That's why the chorus is built almost like a simple repetition: "I can do it."
Sometimes, after all, people don't need a long speech. They just need something to hold onto for a moment.
The bridge is also important to me: "I'll just slow down for a moment. I'll take a breath, get my steps in order, and tell myself: I can handle this."
Because, in my opinion, strength isn't just about constantly pushing forward. Sometimes, strength lies precisely in recognizing that you need to slow down, pull yourself together, and only then continue.
I'll just slow down for a moment. I'll take a breath, get my bearings and tell myself: I can handle this.
DNES
Co pro mě znamená dnes
Today I take that song as a simple reminder that a bad day is not a bad life.
I can get lost. I can make a mistake. I can doubt and sometimes I can feel like I don't have the energy to continue.
But I've gotten up before. And that's what reminds me that I can get up again.
"I can do it" doesn't mean nothing can break me. It means that even if something knocks me down for a while, I can still get back up.
